Orchesis Performances
Coronation
Orchesis members audition to be a part of this dance that will be performed in front of the whole school. Orchesis is a large part of the pep assembly environment, bringing joy and excitement to the audience filled with our peers.
Hispanic Heritage Month
Newer performance that orchesis has been performing in. Orchesis members perform Hispanic style dance or dances with Spanish music.
Art In Residence
A professional choreographer comes in to teach all six district schools an opening, school only and finale dance. At this performance the whole district comes together to put on an amazing showcase for audience member’s. Each school will also select a piece they are working on to showcase.
Annual Showcase
The biggest performance of the year, where we put together a showcase of so many different styles that is performed 3 days in a row. Most dances are student choreographed.
Winter Assembly
The dance that goes to this performance is selected by the director after the annual show. It is performed in front of the whole school (like coronation).
Mini Concert
Mini Concert is a full circle moment for the dance program at EG. It involves Orchesis and all dance classes.
Districts
This performance is done around March because around that time all schools in the district have finished their annual showcases. Each school in the district brings 3 of their most popular dances to be mixed together and shown to a large audience of friends and family.
Arts Unlimited
The dance that is chosen for this performance has very artistic choreography since this is not just a dance showcase. Schools around the district bring different forms of art like band, orchestra, choir and dance.
State 2024
Every year schools around the region will audition two dances to be shown in front of a panel of judges. Only 11-14 dances get chosen in total so it's a very prestigious performance to get into.
